I changed the name of my blog. I thought i was labeling myself or what i had to write about so i changed it because somedays i don’t feel crafty or green and that is not what i am all about just parts of it. I used 23 Teacups because my mom gave me her collection that she has had since i was little (i think they were her mom’s) and i remember her using them at luncheons back when ladies did that. I think they mostly drank coffee but that didn’t sound as good. Every cup is different and unique and beautiful. I like old things so it seemed like a good idea. I will try and photograph some too.
Green clean real clean? February 12, 2009
I don’t know if anyone else has this problem or challenge but i think that my husband thinks i am just doing all this green stuff to be trendy or maybe i am just kooky. He was cleaning something up the other day in my little boy’s bathroom (thank you for doing that) and asked me where the real cleaners are! He had my vinegar and water, my castille soap and baking soda cleaner right there! I think he wanted bleach because to quote him “bleach clean smells real clean” – WHAT!!!! I cannot stand the smell of bleach and only use it spareingly these days. I am really trying to break the habit and it was a little alarming to know that the person i live with doesn’t really believe in what i am trying to do. I did not run for the bleach but let him use the gentler cleaners and they seemed to work fine. I wonder if there are others out there whose family members don’t really believe that we need to switch to kinder gentler to the earth cleaners and lifestyles?

Finally we have hi-speed internet and i can write at will! Before i was waiting, waiting still waiting and i could not upload pictures at all. But now i am on the go and ready to write.

ok i am getting a little tired of critters in the house! ever since we moved to oregon i have had to get used to having no basement which seems to lead to more critters in the house. we have had mice, bugs, ants and now….
a mole
imagine my suprise when i saw this huge looking mouse with funny looking paws waddling around my laundry room. it took me a moment to figure out what the heck it was. i had to call my husband because i was freaked out! how did it get in the house and what is it doing here? i told my son about it when he got up and he asked what a mole eats. i said i thought bugs, plant roots and even mice. very logically he said well we have 2 of those in the house so maybe that is why he is here. kids are so smart! i have trapped it in the laundry room and will wait for my knight to help catch and release later on. would be cool to get a picture of it!

I am still out here , i have just finished this jacket Butterick 5187, the cafe apron from Doodles Stitching and here is a pillow my son made! i think it looks great! it was just snowing outside and i am trying not to think about the fact that it is April!

Ok so i am trying to cut down on time on the computer so I can get more done at home. Well what I want to know is where do people find the time to get all this cool stuff done? I mean people are knitting socks, making aprons, sewing quilts and doing embroidery like crazy and I can’t seem to finish what I started a year ago! Is this common or what! I think I could sit a whole day and just make stuff but of course I can’t I have a 4 year old and a husband (he’s not 4) so now I gotta go.

I am still here, it is 2007 and i have totally ignored this blog! well i am back again. still knitting but have now started working in the garden. yeah, i know way too early to do much but stir up dirt. even that is fun after the cold.

well i am still here, cannot believe it has been that long since i last wrote but believe me i have been busy. we have moved to a house finally. i am still getting settled as are my company but we made it. We bought a house and are now living here permanently. never again will i move. ok maybe not until the next time – 5 years hopefully. it is amazing how much stuff a person has!
